![]() If you liked the Robot Wars TV show, this game may be right up your alley since you don't need actual engineering expertise to make your own killers in TerraTech. You create your own vehicle, be it on wheels, tracks, legs or one that soars through the air and then you get to see how it measures up to the creations of NPCs and other players. In the distant future, Earths natural resources have finally. Well, TerraTech is basically a lovechild of Minecraft and Lego that focuses on creating mechs, tanks, aircraft and then pitting them against those of your opponents. TerraTech lets you design, construct and organise a fleet of unique vehicles to lead to victory as you battle your way across the lawless frontiers of new alien worlds in a quest for glory and profit. You're probably wondering why that might be at this point. That said, 91 per cent players who bought TerraTech on Steam seem to think so as this is one of the best-reviewed games on the platform. This will give you access to the full game, offering a great opportunity to see if it's worth committing to. ![]() TerraTech is an open-world, sandbox adventure game, where you design and build your own creations through a mix of crafting, combat and discovery. To do so, simply head to theĪnd click "Play Game". TerraTech is Free to Play on Steam this weekend From the 30th March to the 6h of April you can jump straight into TerraTech without spending a dime. Right now, they seem to only grant refunds within the 14-days grace period, which is farcical in this particular situation.TerraTech announced a free weekend but it's more of a free week really since you can download the game and try it at no cost until April 8, 2021. This puts quite the dent in my trust in how gog handles in dev games." If they offered refunds for projects that fall apart, it would be a whole different story. It was more a "Well, looks like people who bought this are fucked and can't get a refund. So, to spell it out for you: I wasn't trying to say "OMG!!! ONE IN DEV GAME FAILED, THEY'RE ALL GOING TO FAIL!!! WE'RE ALL DOOMED!!!". In a thread where I literally finished one of my posts with the words "this is of course pure conjecture". Not just that, but accuse me of fear mongering over your own made up bullshit. I get it: If you can't grasp the meaning of a two-sentence post, it's ok to just make up your own meaning. Relying on briefness does have the downside that every once in a while some dolt comes along to put words into my mouth. I don't intend waste everyone's time with seemingly endless, rambling tl dr walls of text that offer zero insight, contribute absolutely nothing of value and are dull as dishwater read. I'm not in the business of overexplaining things. Groze: Oh, ONE game fails, and suddenly all the fear mongering forum goers come out of the woodwork, nice! I naturally kind of assume that the readers of my posts are clever enough to decipher the meaning themselves. GOG certainly needs to do something big to fix its colossal, platform-wide multiplayer problems. IMO the best way to do that would probably be for GOG to pay Steam to license the Steam API for use on GOG. This TerraTech debacle is merely a symptom of a much larger and more pervasive problem: GOG needs to take the bold actions necessary to make multiplayer stop sucking on its platform. By the same token, very few GOG games have Crossplay with Steam, even though almost all of the multiplayer ones need it, and when Crossplay was first introduced, GOG implied that it would be a wide-scale thing that is universally applied - not a tiny niche feature that is barely ever used, except for only very rare occasions (which is the very sad status quo that actually happened). Surely there is a ton wrong on GOG's own end, given that multiplayer is either non-existent, or sucks very badly, in the vast majority of GOG games. Mqstout: It's entirely the developer's bad decision that their product is in this boat.
